Wake County Beekeepers Association

The WCBA, in cooperation with the NC State Beekeeper's Association, is fundraising to provide an endowed professorship in Apiculture at NCSU.

The endowed professorship represents the commitment by the State of North Carolina, NC State University and the beekeeping community of North Carolina to have a first class honey bee research program. And the WCBA is leading the way to make that happen!

The endowed professorship will create a permanent position for an apiculture professor at NC State. $1 million will be required to fully fund the endowment and the WCBA and NC State have partnered to make it happen.

The current prizes for the raffle are:

1) One of two complete hives with two deep hive bodies, bottom boards and covers.  Each hive will be complete with a colony of bees started from packages in early April.

2) A gift basket of products of the hive, such as candles, lip balm, lotion, etc.
